Mac Mic Group is delighted to announce that it has obtained planning approval from Glasgow City Council for a new Build-to-Rent (BTR) development in Anniesland, subject to Section 75 Agreement. The development, on the edge of Glasgow’s lively West End, will transform the former Job Centre site into a vibrant and sustainable community, providing much-needed high-quality rental homes.
The circa £26m GDV residential Brownfield development will create 113 high-quality one and two-bedroom apartments. The apartments will be set across a pair of five to seven-storey buildings.
The development will include amenity and co-working spaces, roof terraces, private landscaped courtyards, communal gardens, private balconies, gym, car changing spaces, car club spaces and secure cycle parking. The scheme will deliver private rental apartments that are fully furnished and professionally managed.
Mac Mic Group is excited to facilitate delivering sustainable and high-quality developments that not only create new homes, but also encourage an improved sense of place and community in this already thriving area.
The site’s location is ideal for a high-quality, residential development that will support the local economy by creating jobs and bringing residential footfall to local retail and leisure without increasing car traffic. Its proximity to Anniesland rail station and public transport links along Great Western Road and Crow Road provide easy access to the wider West End, the city centre and southside. Residents will be spoilt for choice with a wide range of amenities right on their doorstep including leisure facilities, shops, parks, artisan cafes, delis, local pubs and award-winning restaurants in the nearby area.
Bruce Hampton, Regional Land Director - Scotland at Mac Mic Group said: “We are thrilled to have secured planning approval for this exciting project. We are committed to playing our part in delivering high-quality homes that meet the needs of local residents, enhancing this popular West End neighbourhood. This is a perfect example of a project that aligns with National Planning Policy and delivers on objectives for sustainable local living.
On behalf of Mac Mic Group, I would like to thank the project team for their outstanding work and commitment in bringing this project to this stage.”
