Kari Burton, Senior Planning Manager for our South East region, has been working with Planning Potential to submit representations to the ‘Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill: consultation on implementation of plan-making reforms’.
In the main, Mac Mic Group are supportive of the proposed plan-making reforms. However, we re-emphasise that correct government investment into the planning system is necessary to assist in the improvement of its processes and procedures.
Failure to do so is likely to undermine the proposed reforms and render them ineffective. Housebuilding should be at the front and centre of the plan-led system and those LPAs not planning positively should face more severe and effective sanctions.
